Curaçao Maritime Museum

The Curaçao Maritime Museum takes its visitors on a discovery tour of more then 500 years maritime history of Curaçao. The story-line is illustrated through a permanent exhibition consisting of displays with authentic nautical charts, ship models and navigation equipment combined with audiovisual techniques.

Museum tours

In addition to a tour of the museum, visitors can also attend a demonstration of the mini refinery, which is set up in a separate exhibition hall. It is also possible to take a tour through the harbour. Guided tours are available on Wednesday and Saturday afternoon.

Visual Arts
The Maritime Museum regularly organizes visual art exhibitions.
In 2012 the Museum showed spectaculair underwater photographs of Curaçao by Monique Harbers (Netherlands, 1965). The exhibit was named ‘Minus 400 feet’ and the photographs on display were taken with the Curasub, an amazing mini submarine that offers under water trips.
