Being visible by Pet Holman
Being Visible is the name of the upcoming exhibition in Landhuis Bloemhof.
Opening takes place:
Friday, April 6th, 2018
at 7.30 PM
Sta. Rosaweg 6, Curaçao.
Being Visible is about the kids of Curaçao and the power of theatre.
Artist, graphic designer and filmmaker Pet Holman documented a theatre project of the local theatre academy Drazans that took place in areas of our island where kids are having a hard time. The result is a documentary and a photo exhibition that takes you on a trip through the process of change these kids experienced. The artist documented a loving story of hope and self-empowerment through the art of dance and theatre.
The documentary Being Visible will be shown for the first time on the opening night April 6th. The kick-off of this event will, of course, entail theatre and kids. Besides the documentary, there will be many photographs exhibited that tell this story. The photographs are for sale and part of the proceeds will go to Drazans to fund kids without means to take drama and dance lessons at the academy.
So come and join us for this event. And since we are expecting many of you to be a part of this special opening event it would be nice if you could rsvp. Hope to see you this Friday, April 6th at 7:30 pm.
