Nanzi exhibition in Het Boog Atelier

Nanzi exhibition in Het Boog Atelier

Mon Art Gallery and the gallery of Kas di Kultura are showing a selection of the ‘Nanzi Exhibition’ in Het Boog Atelier in The Renaissance Rif Fort, Curaçao.

In January 2013 Anansi Masters launched a dvd Anansi Masters -the story continues: Nanzi stories from Curaçao and Aruba. All stories were told and filmed in Curaçao (Brionplein, Willemstad) and Aruba (Oranjestad) by local storytellers. For the presentation of this dvd in Curaçao, Kas di Kultura Kòrsou organized an exhibition of Nanzi paintings. Several local artists were invited to create an artwork inspired by the stories on the new dvd.

Mon Art Gallery is now showing a selection of these paintings in Het Boog Atelier. Participants are: Joan van Leeuwen, Morgaine Parris, Nataly Pas, Lorraine Rosalia, Wendell Tielman, Merly Trappenberg and students of Adriana’s Academy of Art.

Het Boog Atelier in The Rif Fort is open Monday – Friday from 9 AM till 1 PM.
