Ellen Spijkstra. Exhibit at Avila

The new photo exhibit of visual artist Ellen Spijkstra opens January 20, 2013, at Avila Beach Hotel in the Penstraat with opening words by Frank Kunneman.

Her last exhibit was in 2011 at Gallery Alma Blou in Landhuis Habaai, when she joined her own former students showing ceramic artworks. Now Ellen is having a solo photo exhibit at the luxurious Avila Beach Hotel. Two years ago the hotel had already put up an endearing huge canvas with one of Ellen’s photographs of the flowering bougainvillea, right at the entrance, making a clear statement for their support of the arts.

For 2013 ‘Art at Avila’, the cultural division of the hotel, takes of with a solo exhibit of  this renowned artist.
