Hugo de Klerk 1962 – 2014

Curaçao Art friend and photographer Hugo de Klerk passed away on October 10, 2014.

Hugo de Klerk came to Curaçao in 2009. He founded the popular home and living magazine Resida, for which he was also editor-in-chief.

In March 2013, prior to leaving Curaçao, Hugo de Klerk made profile pictures of 20 Curaçao visual artists, portrayed on the Curaçao Art website. The profile pictures made by Hugo are shown (rotating) on the home page.

On August 1, 2014 Curaçao Art received a message from Hugo informing us of his illness. We are very sad to find out that he died last friday in the Netherlands, as result of this illness. We are grateful for his support and the work he did for our foundation.

Curaçao Art extends condolences to his partner for life Anne-Marie Klerken, family and friends of Hugo de Klerk.
