Nana korobi, ya oki (Fall down seven times, get up eight)
(…) “I walk on a barren island which offers me a fairly dry nature against a backdrop of marine richness. This is how I decided to go on search of those trees dead roots and the sea, transforming them into living material, lives of so many who have fallen, but have figured out a way to be born again. There is no time to waste crying. Crying is useless. If we’re in hell, all we can do is climb up to heaven. Nana korobi ya oki (seven falls, eight rises) invites us to take a look at ourselves inside, to find our roots and to know how to create again our own lives. (María José M. Gutiérrez)
The exhibition remains till January 10, 2019.
