Join Tirzo Martha in The Hague
The Kunstparade Binnenhof renovation is an art program in the space around the Binnenhof. During the renovations, different artists receive an assignment. They are requested to capture the meaning of the Binnenhof in art.
As in a parade, the artworks or art manifestations follow one another. Always with a moment for public participation and encounters. In this way, the Binnenhof remains a meeting place, even during the renovation. This first edition is a collaboration between artist Tirzo Martha and the Senate.
Tirzo Martha invites you to work with him on his artwork of more than 100 seats on Saturday, May 27, 2023, during the Kunstparade Binnenhof.
How does it feel to occupy a seat? And what does it mean to reflect on social developments from this seat? At the invitation of the Senate, artist Tirzo Martha is creating the artwork ‘Zitten, Zat, Gezeten, Nu ga ik staan!’ On the square in The Hague. Everyone can participate.
On May 27, there will be a parade between 12:00 and 15:00 from Lange Voorhout to the Plein. Every participant will bring a chair to contribute to the artwork. At the Plein, people will help build the artwork. There will be a conversation on the theme of reflection.
