Britt van der Huls invites you to a sacred art experience in the pop-up gallery and atelier at Kurá Hulanda in Otrobanda.

‘Ama-Lua. The Art of Awakening’, showcases the art of Britt van der Huls. She has not received formal art training, nor is she a self-taught artist. Britt’s talent is a gift that has revealed itself to her in recent years.
Medium
Britt is a medium who finds inspiration in nature and is guided by Spirit. As she embarked on her spiritual journey, she began to receive songs that she sang to her daughter while visiting spiritual communities. She then felt called to draw and paint, trusting the different energies that came through her. At first, she used anything she could find in nature to express herself, as she didn’t have any materials to work with. When inspiration kept coming, she decided to buy painting materials.
Spiritual Awakening
Having gone through her own spiritual awakening and with more teachings to come, Britt wants to bring understanding to the different stages of spiritual awakening through her art. Her work has a certain depth and harmony due to the type of connection and rhythm she follows. The forms and shapes she creates challenge one’s perception, with human figures and animals appearing out of different dimensions.
Intuitive Soul Reading
While working on her large painting, ‘Dia de las Almas’, Britt indicates that her eyes were mostly closed. She feels moved by the resonance that her work receives. It helps her to connect with others in a meaningful way and make a positive impact in their lives.
When performing an Intuitive Soul Reading, she receives an image that carries a message, which helps individuals gain insight and guidance for their journey. Britt expresses her gratitude to the heartful souls who have already crossed her path and were open to her guidance.

The pop-up is a collaboration with ‘Curaçao Wood Handcrafted Furniture’. The gallery will remain open until mid-February 2024.
Opening hours: Thursday – Saturday, 11:00 AM till 9:00 PM.
