Landhuis Bloemhof in Curaçao is presenting its first exhibition of 2024—a show by the Art Collective Piso SERØ.
Punda to Bloemhof, A Creative Odyssey
Opening: Wednesday, January 10, 2024.
Time: 7 – 9 PM.
Opening act by Juny Martina and Robyn.
The exhibition features artistic expressions by Alejandra Cijntje, Andrew Thodé, Christian Peralta, Kerr de Lanooi (Sè), Noni Madeleine, Pito Polo, Sandra Zegarra Patow and Tamira Koeiman.
The art collective is said to have a radical approach to art and community engagement. Landhuis Bloemhof invites visitors into their immersive world where the boundaries of creativity are as fluid as the Caribbean Sea surrounding our island.
Piso SERØ
Situated in the heart of Punda, Piso SERØ is a multidisciplinary collective and a haven for a diverse group of individuals with a shared passion for creativity. It is located on the ground floor of Casa Moderna on Madurostraat. Their space, divided into a gallery and atelier, is also used for cultural events.
The works of art in ‘Punda to Bloemhof, A Creative Odyssey’ showcase the individual talents and a collective journey into the essence of Piso SERØ itself. “The Creative Odyssey is more than a journey; it’s a living, evolving entity that mirrors the diversity of the Curaçao community. As the lines between artists and the community dissolve, ordinary people become co-creators in a celebration of shared creativity, proving that in the world of Piso SERØ, creativity indeed knows no boundaries”, says co-founder Christian Peralta, according to Landhuis Bloemhof’s press release.
Events
Piso SERØ and Landhuis Bloemhof offer events throughout the exhibition period. These events are interactive experiences that challenge the traditional roles of the artist and the audience, ensuring that every visitor leaves with memories and a profound connection to art.
Soirée
On Friday, January 19, at 7 pm. A donation for joining this Soirée is appreciated.
The Soirée will be an evening with several unexpected interactive moments:
– A speed date with the artists of the Collective Piso SERØ;
– Performances by the renowned writers Fifi Rademaker and Roy Colastica;
– Music by Don the Pianist;
– An Open mic;
– A surprise DJ to close the evening.
Every Saturday morning, you can meet with the artists of the art collective Piso SERØ.
On February 3, there will be a musical event that will showcase young and upcoming musicians.
The exhibition remains till February 10, 2023.
