Mrs. Bérénos is announced by the Curaçao Museum as an ‘exciting new artist’. Isabel Bérénos was born in Curaçao. At a very young age she relocated to Amsterdam to start an education in the performing arts.
She majored in ballet, but soon after discovered her passion for painting and the visual arts. She polished her painting techniques at La Sorbonne in Paris and the Universität der Künste Berlin (UdK) in Berlin, attending two semesters at each institute.
At present Isabel Bérénos works and lives in Curaçao where she finds the solitude and inspiration to create her work. Her paintings are mainly acryl on canvas and she sometimes makes black and white drawings.
Freedom & Discipline remained till August 6, 2019.
