It’s the end of another academic year at IBB and just like the 12 years before, IBB has another group of students ready to continue their studies abroad.

This year the group consists of the following four students:

Lakisha Apostel – Fine Arts, Royal Academy of Arts, The Hague;

Yuteni Martis – Product Design, Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht;

Rachel Clements – Fashion Design, Willem de Kooning Academy, Rotterdam;

Enrique Burgos – Fine Arts, Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht.

These students have completed the training course at IBB and spent at least two years working on their skills, learning new ones and developing their academic abilities. IBB will present them with their certificate on Tuesday, June 18th, 2019, in gallery Esmeralda.

This evening IBB will also give a peek at their project in Rotterdam called ‘All You Can Art’ (AYCA), 2019, happening at the moment, and in its fourth edition. This year AYCA is held at three locations in the city with two of them being south Rotterdam outside their usual spot in Kunsthal. All locations are open to participation by visitors.

Before the ceremony IBB presents a talk by current artist in residence Wouter Osterholt. Osterholt is at the start of his residency period on Curacao and has been doing a lot of research and tests around Curacao’s current sargassum weed problem.
