Peralta: Quit my job paint your life.

A new exhibition in Landhuis Bloemhof by upcoming artist Christian Peralta:

Quit My Job, Paint Your Life.

First solo exhibition by Christian Peralta with expressive paintings, depicting daily life.

Date: January 14, 2023.
Time: 10:30 AM.
Location: Landhuis Bloemhof.
With tunes from Qyubeats.

“I’m excited to share my work with the community and invite people to experience my journey through art,” says Peralta. “The exhibition’s title, ‘Quit My Job, Paint Your Life,’ reflects my decision to pursue my passion for art full-time and the importance of following your dreams and living an authentic life.”

Landhuis Bloemhof presents Christian Peralta as a self-taught multi-disciplinary artist with a background in music, poetry, and audiovisual storytelling. He claimed the artistic stage in 2016 when he returned from studying abroad. Since then, he has actively joined the local art scene, participated in many art manifestations, participated in the film production Watamula by director Kevin Osepa and performed in various poetry and storytelling events.

In 2018, Peralta rediscovered his passion for painting and joined Instituto Buena Bista (IBB). The short period spent there helped him identify what he wanted, and from then on, he continued to explore the world of visual arts and developed a style of his own.

Christian Peralta continued to nurture his skills and found his artistic voice at Uniarte, where he was an active member till 2021. In addition to his work, Peralta is also a member of the community-driven collective Malsamaritano, where he and other young artists create and collaborate on various projects, from music to pop-up events and community work.

Landhuis Bloemhof explains that Christian Peralta has always been on their art radar. A studio visit at the end of 2021 gave Landhuis Bloemhof more insight into his art and himself as a person. As of August 2022, Landhuis Bloemhof noticed a new shift in his style, especially in his color palette, figures, techniques, and composition. These recent shifts were the result of an exciting road of self-discovery propelled and influenced by his newfound loves: his partner and recently born son.

The exhibition remains till February 18, 2023.
