Art houses at Kaya Kaya
The festival site of Kaya Kaya is open to the public for free between Monday, 19, and Friday, 23, 2024.
Art houses are open between 6 pm and 10 pm.
It’s best to go in at the entrance near Netto Bar and follow the route on the map posted below in the photo gallery. You can explore the art week at your own pace and even take guided tours offered by the organizers. While there is ample security on-site, the ambiance is peaceful and festive.
Several new murals by local and international artists have recently been installed. Many buildings have been turned into arthouses, where various artists showcase their work. You will find a wide variety of art, from pieces by beginner artists like Kaïah Maduro to those by established artists like Merly Trappenberg or Omar Sling. We will be adding more photos of our explorations throughout this week.
Remember to bring your water bottle, put on comfortable shoes, and you’re good to go.
