Open House and Tribute to Brigitte Wawoe

Sculptor Angel de la Rosa is hosting an Open House on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at his studio on Donderstraat 4 in Otrobanda. The event features a sales exhibition of artworks created in collaboration with the recently deceased sculptor Brigitte Wawoe (1939-2025). A few of Brigitte’s individual pieces will also be available for purchase.
Most of the sculptures were created together, with Angel and Brigitte working side by side on the stone. The Open House is both a sales event and a heartfelt tribute to Brigitte Wawoe. Visitors are welcome to leave a message or photo in her memory, which will be shared with her family in the Netherlands.
After the Open House, Angel will travel to the Netherlands, where the exhibition ‘Hemelse Vormen’ (Heavenly Forms) will open in July at Galerie De Molen in Wassenaar, featuring works by both Wawoe and De la Rosa.
