Exhibition and presentation of publication on the entire oeuvre of renowned Curaçao artist Yubi Kirindongo takes place in Curaçao on March 15, 2014 at 6:30 p.m.

The book is written by Thomas Meijer zu Schlochtern and is available in Papiamentu, English and Dutch. Artist and author will be present at the publication in Curaçao. Translation of the book in Papiamentu was done by Stanley Braafheid and Lusette Verboom. Translation in English by D’Lane Camp and Donna Vries Hermansader. Published by LM Publishers.
In Curaçao the exhibition with book presentation is organized by Gallery Alma Blou and Fundashon Yubi Kirindongo. True to local custom the book is baptized by Madrina Mrs. Nicole Henriquez and Padrino Mr. Rendy Metch.
Yubi Kirindongo is honored in the Netherlands with a large retrospective solo exhibition in Museum Beelden aan Zee in The Hague. A total of 106 artworks are displayed in the Museum. The show Yubi Kirindongo. Rebel in Art & Soul will remain till June 1st, 2014.
His work is currently also shown in Museum de Fundatie in Zwolle, the Netherlands. This exhibition Tropical Kingdom shows contemporary art from the Dutch Caribbean islands Aruba, Curaçao, St. Maarten, Bonaire, Saba and St. Eustatius. The exhibition lasts till March 16, 2014.
In Curaçao Yubi’s work is exhibited till May 18, 2014, in Exploring the Past to Envisage the Future in the Curaçao Museum. This art show to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Abolition of slavery, is curated by Curaçao art historian Jennifer Smit.
