Monique Harbers at Curacao North Sea Jazz Festival
Photographer Monique Harbers was invited by Curaçao North Sea Jazz Festival to exhibit her photographs in the artist lounge of the World Trade Center at Piscadera Bay.
Harbers is pleased and honored to be invited again for this exhibition. Last year, 2014, her work was also shown during the Curaçao NSJF. Her recurring theme, beauty in detoriation, is photographed and printed on 30 canvasses, displayed in the lounge and dressing rooms of the artists.
The Dutch photographer lives in Curaçao since 2009 and has been exhibiting her work on regular basis. Monique finds her inspiration in nature, architecture and the people of Curaçao.
At present Monique Harbers is also exhibiting her work in the Netherlands with the show ‘Shipwrecked, beauty in detoriation’ at the Zeeuws Maritiem muZEEum in Vlissingen. This exhibition, which was due to end in September, has been prolonged till December 8, 2014. Her photographs from this show will be exhibited in Curaçao in the beginning of 2015.
