On Saturday, January 14, 2017, visual artist Bert Kienjet will open his own exhibition in Gallery Alma Blou showing etchings of Curaçao nature.

Etching is a printmaking technique. With use of strong acid and wax an image is carved in a metal plate. Etching is quite a special technique requiring practice, skill and competence. In former days it was a wide spread method to multiply drawings and images. Nowadays it is mostly applied by highly skilled professional artists, interested in traditional methods. Bert Kienjet is such an artist.

Gallery Alma Blou is pleased that Kienjet is willing to demonstrate the etching technique at the opening of his exhibition and invites you to be present at this unique event.

The exhibition remains till January 28, 2017.
