The paintings in this exhibition place te viewer in a space that reflects the pride and freedom of the yu di Kòrsou. While in Curaçao, Paula’s keen eyes would always capture the vibrant people and places in their daily, colorful array. The result are paintings that demand attention and bring happiness to the viewer.
Her inspiration comes from people, places and animals in their daily settings. Color, light and atmosphere play an important role. Paula loves the vibrancy and color of the Caribbean. Her preferred medium is acrylic paint, on paper and canvas. Every now and than she uses oil-paint for her artworks.
The exhibition by Paula Knipping van Zanten is also the 1st solo artist exhibition by Art Foundation Curaçao. Congratulations from us to Art Foundation Curaçao and we wish you many, many more exhibitions in the future.
