Rainbow Exhibition by Carlos Blaaker

Sunday, September 25, is the opening of the Rainbow Exhibition by Carlos Blaaker. The exhibition is part of the 10th edition of Pride Curaçao, which runs from Sept. 24 through Oct. 2, 2022).

Carlos Blaaker feels it is essential that he can contribute to the acceptance of sexual diversity. During Pride Curaçao, a week-long celebration of gay emancipation on the island will be held. 

The theme of Carlos’ exhibition arose by accident. Over the past two years, various individuals from the LGBTI community have posed for him. Carlos selected them based on their appearance and personality because they suited what he needed for his work at the time. Afterward, it turned out that many of the models were queer. Although that doesn’t matter to Carlos, he selected those works for this new exhibition.
