Publication on Dominoes in Curacao
New exhibition and book presentation at The Curaçao Museum:
“SAPATU! The Art of Dominoes on Curaçao”

This exhibition is a collaboration between The Curaçao Museum and Wintertuin Curaçao.
The book and (mini) exhibition “Sapatu! E arte di dominó na Kòrsou” celebrate the traditional dominoes game played on the island of Curaçao. Both the exhibition and the book provide an in-depth exploration of the captivating world of Dominoes on Curaçao.
Wintertuin Curaçao created the publication in collaboration with various artists who painted, took photos, and composed poems about the different domino clubs in Curaçao. The Curaçao Museum is presenting all these beautiful expressions of art in a new exhibition. At the opening, the book “Sapatu! E arte di dominó na Kòrsou” will be presented by Wintertuin Curaçao.
Several visual artists, amateurs and photographers participated in this project. Their works are featured in the publication: Vesuhely Americaan, Isabel Bérénos, Brayner Cardono, Rebecca Broman, Alejandra Cijntje, David Gomez, Frans van Eijk, Rose-Ann Ignacio, Lindomar Laker, Ailin Longo, Saskia Matthijsse, Mayberney Meyer, Nathan Morishaw, Kemuël Sandries, Ramsay Soemantha, Natisha Verkerk and Tico Vos.
The museum is open from Tuesday to Saturday. Closed on Sunday and Monday.
Tuesday – Friday: 09:00 – 16:30
Saturday: 10:00 – 16:00.
