Royal Honor for owner Gallery Alma Blou
Curaçao, May 6, 2014.
On Friday morning of April 25th, 2014, the Governor of Curaçao awarded the annual Royal decorations in Curaçao on behalf of His Majesty King Willem-Alexander.
During the official ceremony, 23 citizens of Curaçao received a royal distinction for many years of exceptional service for the benefit of the community.
Owner of Gallery Alma Blou, Mrs. Lusette Verboom-Fairbairn, was appointed Knight in the Order of Oranje-Nassau. The royal honor was awarded to her for her voluntary work for the Citizens Rescue Organization Citro-Curaçao and for her role in promoting the visual arts of Curaçao. In the gallery’s recent newsletter, Mrs. Verboom takes special note of the award and looks back on 23 years of dedication to the visual arts, the local arts and crafts, and her business enterprise. She expresses her gratitude to all supporting artists, artisans, clients, colleagues, and others involved in the art world.
Curaçao Art congratulates Mrs. Verboom with this special Royal recognition for all her years of hard work and courage.
