Kosecha Kultural in 2018

The festival by Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds Caribisch Gebied

Kosecha Kultural

will be held on September 28 and 29, 2018 in the garden of Landhuis Bloemhof.

Doors open at 6 PM.

The festival is in its 2nd year and focusses on the local cultural talent. This year the visual artists of Curacao have, amongst others, been invited to showcase their work in a mondi trail. As the festival takes place in the evening, the artworks are illuminated.

Programs with schedule are available at the entrance of the festival. This year’s festival is all about fusion. Mixing different artistic disciplines.

Well known muralist Francis Sling is creating an artwork during the event, at the entrance of Landhuis Bloemhof. A mural creating the image of a swing in the midst of … flowers of the Flamboyan tree. The mural is also a great photo-opportunity for visitors.

Garrick Marchena is also performing a live paint-act in the garden, near to the Cathedral of Thorns. The studio of Hortence is open and the artist will be present. Other participating artists are: Ailsa Anastatia, Giovanni Abath, Avantia Damberg, Monique Harbers, Suzet Rosaria, Susan Rudolph and Lucia Schnog.

The festival is also a good opportunity to visit the ‘Kunstfabriek’ by Daisy Casimiri, where young women are supported and learn to make handmade souvenirs, the open air studio of sculptress Hortence Brouwn and the Cathedral of Thorns by Herman van Bergen.
