Talk on the Curacao Masters

On Wednesday, February 27, 2019 the Curaçao Museum hosted a presentation by the Dutch art historian Julie Hengeveld, titled

The Curaçao Museum announces an interesting lecture and presentation by Mrs. drs. Julie Hengeveld on the role and influence of The Curaçao Museum on the emergence of the local and in Curaçao residing artists, upon its opening in 1948 till 1955. Mrs. Hengeveld will also cover the endowment and donations of several artworks to the museum during his period. The antique furniture- and cabinet makers will be highlighted, as the furniture was amongst the first donations to the museum.

On February 26, 2019 Hengeveld also gave a presentation at the National Archives in Scharloo, titled ‘Museum Schatten’.
