Landhuis Bloemhof in cooperation with Korpodeko, proudly presents the group exhibition Desaroyo.

Meet and greet the artists on Saturday May 28th, 2016.

Fundashon Korporashon pa Desaroyo di Kòrsou (Korpodeko), a sustainable development corporation, is celebrating its 30th anniversary with art at heart. Creativity is an important part of development. Art and the artist’s view of on their society reveal the conscience of the nation.

Korpodeko is not only looking back on past achievements. For their anniversary celebration they invited visual artists of Curaçao to share their view on Curaçao’s development  30 years from today. The vision of 40 artists is brought together in the exhibition ‘Desaroyo’.

To support the development of creativity and art Korpodeko is also starting an Art Fund. Buying one of the artworks in this exhibition will result in a direct contribution to this Art Fund.

Also part of this exhibition is a maquette of the Korpodeko-building made by a prisoner. Furthermore authentic Curaçao souvenirs from Folk Art Curaçao are on display.

The latter is the result of a Unesco- program brought to Curaçao by Lusette Fairbairn-Verboom from Gallery Alma Blou. Both initiatives show what development through creativity can do for people.

After June 4th ‘Desaroyo’ will move on to other locations till July 30th, to make sure that as many people as possible can enjoy the art works.
