
Exhibition Art for the Roses
The opening of the Art for the Roses exhibition on Saturday, October 22, 2022, will be the start of a special month-long fundraising effort for cancer relief and the Prinses Wilhelmina Fonds, organized by the Ride for the Roses Curaçao foundation. Together with the organization of the Ride for the Roses Curaçao, Landhuis Bloemhof, the Cathedral of Thorns, and Number Ten, have created a varied multi-disciplinary art and entertainment program of activities.
The exhibition
Art for the Roses opens on Saturday, October 22, at 10:30 a.m. More than 40 visual artists have contributed to this fundraiser. The assignment: create a work of art incorporating (an element of) a rose. The Art for the Roses exhibition includes paintings, drawings, mixed media artworks, ceramics, and sculptures. Bids on the artworks start at the opening through a silent auction, with a minimum amount of NAf 500. On November 19, 2022, the final amount will be determined during a live auction. Opening speakers are Robbin Martina (chairman of Ride for the Roses Curaçao), Nicole Henriquez (chairman of Bloemhof), and a representative of the Princess Wilhelmina Fund – the largest beneficiary of this fundraiser -.
